Position: Investment Officer (Global Public Equities)Investment Officer (Global Public Equities)Final date to receive applications:December 8, 2025Base pay range$/yr – $/yrJob SummaryJoin the Office of Investment Management (OIM) of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) as an Investment Officer in the Global Public Equities Team, based in New York. In this role, you will help manage one of the world’s largest pension fund investment portfolios by developing, implementing, and monitoring public equity investment strategies and external manager mandates.OIM manages over US $95 billion in a global, multi‑asset class portfolio, approximately 85% of which is actively managed in‑house across equities, fixed income, real assets, and alternative investments. The Investment Officer reports to the Director of Public Equities and works closely with the Chief Investment Officer (CIO), asset allocation, risk management, and external management teams to optimize portfolio performance and integrate sustainable investment practices.Job Responsibilities• Assist in developing and implementing strategies for managing and investing the Fund’s public market assets through external managers. • Collaborate with the Head of Equities, asset allocation, and risk management teams to balance long‑term strategic goals with performance objectives. • Conduct due diligence on external managers, monitor portfolio performance, and recommend periodic rebalancing or manager changes as appropriate. • Apply both fundamental and quantitative analysis to assess investment opportunities and risks.• Ensure compliance with the Fund’s Investment Policy, risk parameters, and Sustainable Investment Policy. • Conduct periodic portfolio reviews, prepare evaluation materials, and collaborate with external consultants and internal portfolio teams. • Perform portfolio analysis using analytical and risk management tools such as Bloomberg, Fact Set, or MSCI. • Participate in Investment Management Agreement (IMA) negotiations and monitor compliance with investment guidelines and ESG criteria. • Conduct market and macroeconomic research to support portfolio decisions and manager selection.• Make investment recommendations that align with the Fund’s four key investment criteria: safety, profitability, liquidity, and convertibility. • Prepare accurate and timely reports for senior management and governing bodies, including the RSG, CIO, and Director of Public Equities. • Contribute to ad hoc projects, performance analysis, and data visualization initiatives to support data‑driven investment decisions. • Represent OIM at investment conferences, seminars, and meetings with industry experts and research providers.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills• Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field is required. • A first‑level university degree with two additional years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in external manager portfolio management, manager due diligence, and public equity investment analysis within an institutional investment environment is required.• Experience with quantitative analysis, fund selection, and performance monitoring is required. • Experience using investment databases and analytical tools such as eVestment, Fact Set, Morningstar, Bloomberg, or MSCI is desirable. • Experience in drafting Investment Management Agreements (IMAs) and coordinating due diligence meetings is desirable. • Experience with pension funds or large institutional investors is an advantage. • CFA designation or equivalent professional certification is desirable.Benefits• Working in a mission‑driven, ethical investment office supporting the long‑term financial security of UN staff globally. • A multicultural, diverse, and collaborative work environment located in New York City• Opportunities for professional development, learning, and cross‑functional career growth. • Flexible work arrangements, including the option to work from home up to two to three days per week. • Six weeks of annual leave, seven days of uncertified sick leave, comprehensive parental leave, and family‑friendly policies.• A defined benefit pension plan and subsidized medical insuranceSeniority levelNot ApplicableEmployment typeFull‑timeJob functionFinanceIndustriesInvestment ManagementRecruitmentReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) by 2x#J-18808-Ljbffr Apply tot his job
