Job title: Human Resource Business Partner - Grandview -KansasCompany: Woodmont CabinetryJob description:The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.• Plans, directs, and coordinates the Human Resource functions of Grandview Cabinetry in accordance with corporate policies and procedures. • Support the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new staff. • Administer employee services. • Handle matters pertaining to Hourly Employees. • Serve as a support liaison between management and employees. • Assists with mediation during employee disputes. • Submit annual calendar to Corporate Human Resources by Dec 15th of each year for approval of schedule for following year.This includes benefits enrollment periods, employee lunches, charitable events, etc; both on and off company property where employees represent the company. • Submit monthly reporting to Corporate Human Resources. • Provide government policy information and changes to Corporate HR and Leadership Team. • Support Corporate Human Resource activities. PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESHIRING PROCESSRecruiting:• Maintain accurate Open Position Log based on positions approved by Director of KS Operations.• Post open positions through channels and messages approved by Corporate Human Resources. • Attend and Host Job Fairs, as approved by Corporate VP of Human Resources. • Review and screen Employment Applications. • Schedule and complete initial interview using Hiring Recommendation Checklist, as approved by Corporate Human Resources. • Schedule second interview for Supervisors after HR recommends employee for hire based on Hiring Recommendation Checklist. • Contact candidates to confirm the hiring information (as arranged / negotiated by the supervisor) and schedule orientation.• Orientation:• Complete New Hire Orientation- new employee completes paperwork, review and sign-off on Employee Handbook, Safety Manual, Photo Release, Chaplain Acknowledgement, safety video• Review Benefits- review benefits paperwork with employees and discuss enrollment period• Facilitate pre-employment drug screen and take photo of employee for UFactory. • Complete New Hire Checklist to assure all steps have been completed and E-Verify• If employee passes Pre-Training: make key fob for employee, email supervisor and inform of the new hire start and verify department, level, and job title.New Hire Data:• Enter employee data into UFactory, Benefits Connect, and submit Payroll to enter Paycom. • Maintain hard copy of Hourly Employee Files in HR Office and Salaried Employee Files in Accounting Office. BENEFITS MANAGEMENTInsurance:• Open Enrollment- work with Corporate HR to schedule Open Enrollment dates as identified on annual calendar. • Facilitate local Insurance Open Enrollment Meetings. • Schedule and facilitate Insurance Meetings each month for newly eligible employees to explain insurance benefits.Collect new election forms and enter into Benefits Connect. Submit forms to Payroll to enter into Paycom. • Coordinate with external benefit companies to schedule meetings as approved by Corporate HR. 401k:• Maintain 401k Enrollment records in Woodmont 401k Binder for annual Audit, as approved by Corporate Human Resources. • Quarterly Open Enrollment- run employee report to identify newly eligible employees, provide approved 401k packet to all newly eligible employees with form to enroll or decline, follow-up to ensure that form has been received by the end of the Open Enrollment period for all newly eligible employees.• Enter 401k information into Benefits Connect. Submit forms to Payroll to enter into Paycom. • Refer employees to 401k Advisor for questions. • Coordinate with 401k Broker to schedule meetings as approved by Corporate HR. FMLA• Meet with employees when FMLA is requested or needs to be offered and complete all required forms. • Create plan with employee to pay insurance premiums during FMLA, if enrolled. • Send notice to employee once certification is returned and approved. • Notify Supervisor, VP of Manufacturing, and Payroll of time off.SAFETY• Hearing Testing- schedule, maintain documents• OSHCON Visits- schedule, facilitate visit, write-up• OSHA Logs / Accident Investigations• Schedule and Send out Monthly Safety Topic• Monthly Safety Walk, one department per month• Maintain Safety Binder with Safety Topics and employee sign in sheet• Maintain Lock- Out/Tag-Out Binder with employee Name and lock # and auditsWORKERS COMP• Assist Manager with investigation or first report of injury, if needed. • Meet with employee to discuss options as specified by our insurance provider, if needed.• Submit work comp to online reporting site and communicate with claim manager to provide any employment information necessary. UNEMPLOYMENT• Provide all necessary termination information and hold in file until determination is received. • If unemployment is granted begin the appeal process.
