Position OverviewWe are seeking former T20 university admissions officers, application readers, or committee members to serve as expert college admissions strategists. You will work 1:1 with highly motivated students, helping them craft compelling narratives, strengthen application positioning, and prepare essays that resonate with top-tier selection criteria.This role is fully remote, part-time, and ideal for professionals who want to apply their admissions insights in a mentorship-driven environment. Key Responsibilities• Provide individualized strategic guidance to students applying to Top 20 universities. • Review and critique application materials, including personal statements, supplemental essays, and activity lists. • Help students develop a cohesive personal narrative and application story arc. • Offer insider perspective on selection criteria, institutional priorities, and competitive positioning.• Conduct virtual 1:1 sessions focused on actionable improvements and tailored application strategy. • Collaborate with the EliteX team to maintain the highest level of student success and client experience. Qualifications• Required: Prior experience as an admissions officer, application reader, or committee member at a Top 20 university• Deep familiarity with holistic review, narrative evaluation, institutional priorities, and competitive admissions landscapes. • Strong writing/editorial skills and the ability to articulate feedback clearly and constructively.• Excellent communication skills and comfort mentoring high-achieving students. • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle variable workloads during peak application seasons. Preferred Qualifications• Experience guiding students, advising families, or consulting in an academic context. • Expertise with the Common App, UC application, supplemental essays, and overall application storytelling. • Background working with high-performing students or selective academic programs.
