Job DescriptionFederal Reporting Analyst:OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Federal Reporting Analyst with 8+ years of hands-on experience in SQL development, data validation, and reporting within complex enterprise environments. Candidates with Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) or healthcare reporting experience, especially CMS 64, CMS 372, CMS 416, EFADS, and related federal reporting-will be given strong preference. The ideal candidate excels in data analysis, configuration changes, report troubleshooting, requirements gathering, and end-to-end validation of federal reporting deliverables.Key Responsibilities:SQL Development & Data Validation• Develop, optimize, and execute SQL queries to extract, validate, and reconcile data from large-scale database environments. • Generate recurring and ad hoc datasets used for CMS64, CMS372, CMS416, and EFADS reporting. • Perform data quality checks, root-cause analysis, and error remediation for reporting discrepancies. Reporting & Issue Resolution• Analyze issues encountered during report execution and coordinate fixes across configuration, data, and logic layers.• Support configuration changes needed to implement new reporting logic. • Participate in troubleshooting sessions to resolve defects found during test cycles or encountered in production reporting runs. Requirements Gathering & Documentation• Engage with business and technical stakeholders to gather business requirements, functional requirements, and perform gap analysis. • Draft comprehensive documentation including mapping documents, data flow diagrams, and process notes for federal reporting. • Translate regulatory guidance into actionable reporting logic and data transformation steps.Testing & QA• Independently plan and execute unit testing, system testing, and regression testing for reporting deliverables. • Currently engaged in testing CMS64 September QE changes and EFADS reports-similar experience is preferred. • Validate new and updated reporting logic through SQL-driven test conditions and scenario-based validation. Collaboration• Work closely with business analysts, QA teams, developers, and data architects to ensure accuracy and compliance with CMS reporting requirements.• Support cross-functional teams during audits, federal submissions, and data calls. RequiredQualifications:• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline. • 8+ years of experience in SQL development, data analysis, and reporting. • Strong SQL proficiency (DDL, DML, performance tuning, stored procedures, analytical functions). • Experience validating large datasets and generating enterprise-class reports. • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to configuration, data logic, and report execution.• Strong documentation skills to produce BRDs, FRDs, mapping documents, and gap analyses. PreferredQualifications:• MMIS experience or strong background in healthcare/Medicaid data. • Experience working with CMS federal reporting (CMS 64, CMS 372, CMS 416, EFADS). • Familiarity with QE cycles, federal submission processes, and data compliance standards. • Experience supporting large-scale reporting transformations or modernization initiatives. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive.
