External Accountant / Financial Controller for Small Business (Monthly Owner Reports)
We are a small business group with two companies:• Smart Tech Iraq (Baghdad) – telecom distribution• Smart Tech Global (Turkey – Istanbul) – telecom distributionBoth companies already have local accountants handling tax filings and statutory bookkeeping. We are looking for an experienced External Accountant / Financial Controller to support us on an ongoing monthly basis and prepare simple, clear financial reports for the owner. This is a long-term, stable role with consistent monthly worYour Monthly Responsibilities• Request the monthly financial documents from our Iraq and Turkey teams(bank statements, vendor statements, sales, purchases, payroll, receivables/payables, LC updates, inventory movements).• Follow up by email until all documents are collected. • Prepare simple monthly owner reports:o P&L for each companyo Balance Sheeto Cash Flow summaryo Receivables/payables and vendor exposureo Short monthly commentary• Combine Iraq + Turkey into one easy-to-read monthly summary. • Keep everything organized in shared folders (bolthires Drive). Quarterly Responsibilities• Consolidated summary for Iraq + Turkey• Cash flow and working capital overviewYear-End Responsibilities• Year-end financial summary for each company• Optional: simplified IFRS-style statements (not mandatory)Requirements• Strong experience in accounting and management reporting• Ability to work independently and follow up with multiple teams• Clear communication in English, Arabic will be added value• Comfortable working with small businesses• Experience with multi-country reporting is a plus (not required)• Reliable, structured, and organizedEngagement Details• Remote• 8–18 hours per month• Long-term cooperation (6+ months)• Hourly contract preferred• Looking for someone consistent and stableWhen applying, please share:1.Your experience with monthly financial reporting2.
