Experienced U.S. Medical Billing Specialist (Remote | Long-Term)

We're a U.S.-based medical billing company seeking a remote Medical Billing Specialist with proven experience in U.S. revenue cycle management. This role will support OB/GYN and family medicine clients, handling everything from claims submission to AR follow-up. Responsibilities: Submit insurance claims using platforms like Kareo, AdvancedMD, or similar Manage denials, rejections, and appeals Run and work A/R reports weekly Handle patient billing questions professionally (email/chat) Verify patient eligibility and benefits Document all work and communicate status updates ✅Qualifications: 2+ years of U.S.medical billing experience Proficiency in PM systems like Athenahealth, AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks, etc. Strong knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding, insurance guidelines, and clearinghouses Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and handling PHI Reliable internet and quiet workspace Bonus if you have: Experience in OB/GYN, pediatrics, or family practice billing Ability to work U.S. business hours (or overlap at least 3–4 hours/day) Familiarity with Microsoft, Zoom, and Google Workspace What We Offer: Hourly rate: $6–9/hour (based on experience) Long-term, consistent workload Opportunity for performance-based bonuses Supportive and growing U.S.-based team Paid training and SOPs provided To Apply: Briefly describe your medical billing experience List the PM systems you’ve worked with Include your availability (weekly hours & timezone) Attach your updated resume or Upwork profile We're hiring ASAP, so if you’re a reliable and detail-oriented billing pro, and let’s talk!Apply tot his job Apply tot his job
