Employment Law Associate Attorney

Willcox Savage, a full-service law firm with offices in Norfolk and Tysons, Virginia, seeks an associate attorney to join its Employment Law Section. Willcox Savage employment attorneys defend clients in employment litigation regionally and nationally, provide proactive litigation avoidance counseling, assist with business immigration for multinational employers, and provide fair housing advice to property developers and management companies throughout the country. This position encompasses an engaging blend of litigation, consulting, and transactional work.Responsibilities• Represent clients in employment-related matters, including litigation, mediation, and arbitration. • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. • Provide counsel to employers and employees on labor and employment law issues such as discrimination, harassment, wage and hour compliance, and workplace policies. • Assist in discovery, including document review, depositions, and witness preparation. • Participate in client meetings, court appearances, and negotiations.Qualifications• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. • Admission to the Virginia State Bar (or eligibility for admission). • 2+ years of experience in employment law preferred. • Candidates with other litigation experience will be considered. • Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively. • Ability to work from the Norfolk or Tysons Corner office preferred, but hybrid or remote applicants will be consideredBenefits• Competitive salary commensurate with experience.• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance. • 401(k) retirement plan. • Professional development opportunities. • Supportive and collaborative work environment.
