What You Will Be Doing• Conducting daily morning sessions that inspire and prepare student-athletes for the day's challenges• Delivering 1:1 motivational coaching tied to academic achievement and personal development• Guiding life skill workshops through storytelling, reflective exercises, and hands-on coaching methods• Overseeing afternoon athletic training sessions that cultivate resilience, collaboration, and responsibility• Monitoring student development and maintaining rigorous expectations for both mindset and executionBasic RequirementsElite Sports Mentor key responsibilities• We're looking for former elite athletes who have competed at the highest levels of sport — Olympians, World Champions, professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, or NHL, or NCAA Division I All-Americans• Bachelor's degree in any subject• Demonstrated experience applying sport as a vehicle for mentoring and teaching life skills• Proven track record of motivational leadership in athletic, academic, or professional contexts• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.without visa sponsorship• Willing to reside in or relocate to Austin, TXAbout Sports AcademyTexas Sports Academy is Where Future Champions Excel in Academics and AthleticsTraditional schools force student-athletes to choose between excelling in academics or committing to their sport.
