About the positionResponsibilities• Generate image-based computerized treatment plans based on protocols and methods established by radiation oncologists and medical physicists. • Administer quality control programs in conjunction with physicists and radiation therapists. • Evaluate treatment plans for clinical value and acceptability in clinical situations. • Coordinate essential activities in workflow for radiation therapy treatments. • Follow instruction and documented procedures in performing tasks on computer workstations accurately and efficiently.• Communicate technical aspects of radiation oncology and medical physics to radiation oncologists and radiation therapists. • Interpret and execute treatment plans as defined in relevant treatment protocols. Requirements• Bachelor of Science in Physics related field or equivalent education/experience. • CMD-Certified Medical Dosimetrist upon hire. • 5 years dosimetry experience in a progressive radiation oncology department. • Ability to understand technical aspects of radiation oncology and medical physics.• Mathematical skills including algebra and trigonometry. • Ability to visualize objects in three-dimensional concepts.
