About the Digital Journalist/Writer: Only One is looking for a Digital Journalist/ Writer to as we scale our digital content work to fuel the movement for people and the planet.The Digital Journalist/Writer will... Project manage all creative briefs across the organization to identify key messaging, messaging hierarchy, and call to action for all video content. Ideate around script structure and fully own all script writing for the organization around ongoing and new video pieces (videos for social media, Youtube, and additional platforms as requested). Manage all research, data gathering, and fact-checking for content pieces. Lead copywriting efforts in support of content distribution (emails, memos, captions, video copy, website copy).Facilitate ongoing communication and coordination with our Production team. Work closely with our Growth and Product teams to project manage and support the execution of creative briefs. About you:The Digital Journalist/Writer is a dynamic and proactive individual. They are passionate about telling complex stories innovatively and engagingly. Problem-solving is a core strength. They are someone who has experience with written communication, script-writing, and copywriting. A passion for climate and environmental justice and the oceans is important, even if their professional experience has yet to be in that space.Attention to detail and thorough research, and fact-checking skills are a must. The Digital Journalist/Writer is... Creative and digital-first, passionate about the digital landscape and online media platforms, and has an eye for new upcoming trends. Experienced in digital media and content creation. An excellent writer, fluent in English with strong communication and research skills. Additional languages are a plus. Experienced in script writing and skilled at engagingly communicating complex topics. Committed to executing with high attention to detail and able to manage multiple projects and partnerships across various relationships while working in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with the video production process and video editing tools is a plus. LocationThis is a full-time remote position. Salary: $60,000 - $75,000The salary range referenced is based on US resident applicants only.
