Position:Data / Information Architect – Navy Data Model | MDM | OntologyAbout theRole:As a Data / Information Architect at Navaide, you will shape the foundation of secure, interoperable, and mission-aligned data architectures for federal clients—especially within the defense ecosystem. You will ensure that enterprise data solutions align with Navy data models, ontologies, and master data management (MDM) principles to support transparency, integration, and readiness across operational systems.How you will Make an Impact:You'll work at the intersection of enterprise architecture, data governance, and semantic modeling to help define the future of defense data interoperability and enable secure data sharing across platforms and mission sets. RelevantSkills andExperience:• 7+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture, modeling, or information systems• Deep understanding of DoD and Navy data models, especially DON Data Strategy, Navy Logical Data Model (NLDM), or NAVWAR data architecture• Hands-on experience implementing Master Data Management (MDM) frameworks across large enterprises• Knowledge of ontologies, taxonomies, and semantic data modeling• Familiarity with UML, ER modeling, and standards such as RDF, OWL, or SKOS• Experience with enterprise data dictionaries, metadata management, and data stewardship• Strong collaboration skills with system architects, data governance leads, and business stakeholdersDuties &Responsibilities:• Align enterprise data models with Navy and DoD reference architectures and data standards• Design and implement MDM solutions for shared data domains and consistent master records• Develop and maintain ontologies, semantic models, and controlled vocabularies to enhance data interoperability• Support data lineage, quality, and governance efforts across multiple programs and domains• Work with solution architects and platform leads to embed data architecture into system design• Document data architecture artifacts and provide training or advisory support for data governance councils• Evaluate current data environments and provide modernization roadmaps to achieve semantic alignment and reusabilitySecurity Clearance:Must be eligible to receive a DoD security clearanceTravel:Occasional travel may be required ( Apply tot his job
