About the positionResponsibilities• Develop case strategy in partnership with business units and drive resolution of litigation disputes. • Manage outside counsel and oversee litigation processes. • Review and approve pleadings and motions, and attend court hearings and depositions. • Coordinate discovery, including collection and production of documents. • Provide legal advice to business functions on a wide variety of pre-litigation issues arising from business-as-usual activities. • Keep Visa management and business units apprised of litigation developments and strategy.Requirements• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with anAdvanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD. • Admitted to practice law in the United States and in good standing. • Experience in all phases of litigation and experience with antitrust/competition law and e-discovery preferred. • Strong analytical, problem-solving and writing skills. • Demonstrated leadership skills and strategic focus.• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships at all levels of management and across business functions.
