In addition to career development initiatives, the center serves as a conduit for employers to connect with this talented group of young professionals.The Data and Reporting Analyst Opportunity:Reporting directly to the Assistant Dean ofCareer Management, the Data and Reporting Analyst will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business who are the data and reporting leads for their respective areas including academic affairs, student services, career management, human resources, external relations and others. This peer group meets regularly with the College Information Technology team’s Director of CRM Strategy and IT Strategic Initiatives to discuss common needs, brainstorm ideas for new and enhanced data analysis and reporting tools and collaborate to create cross-functional analyses in support of College goals.This position will lead and manage the analysis, synthetization, collection, and reporting of complex student employment data across the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. Report and analyze complex data coming from multiple sources. Evaluate and coordinate the use of online tools to manage information flow within theCareer Management Center. Ensure that various systems are optimized to promote collection, analysis, and dissemination of information. Serve as a senior member of theCareer Management Center management team by attending and providing strategic input in manager and team meetings.Prepare reports and provide insight for management, outside media, and students. Coordinate employment data projects with groups across the College. Train CMC staff and students to use online systems. Serve as liaison from CMC to the IT department, college data analyst, and the Salesforce team. Key responsibilities include:• Uncover trends and key drivers of data. Develop tables, graphs, and reports. Present information with management and other clients. Offer guidance based on the data analysis. • Analyze the employment data to provide insight to management on key drivers of the results.• Track input of job offers and acceptances in JPay+ and other applicable platforms. Audit responses, and follow up directly with students as needed. • Enforce compliance with the reporting standards of the MBACSEA, NUBS, and NACE standards where applicable. • Compile weekly KPIs, especially regarding employment, for College and School management. KPIs include number of offers and acceptances vs. previous year across the various College degree programs, number of accepted offers across top employers, and employment comparisons of international and domestic students.Related to this, ensure that the employment data is available on-demand by utilizing Tableau to update the dashboard. • Ensure that new students are loaded each year along with other relevant data, such as work authorization and target industry. • Serve as CMC “expert” in use of applicable reporting platforms, including 12Twenty, Salesforce, VMock, MBA Exchange, and Handshake. • Explore new technology options, and set up reviews with staff. Organize beta testing with staff and students. Manage roll – out and implementation when a new system is adopted.Train staff members and students in using technology when needed. • Coordinate employment data projects with groups across the College• Represent CMC in IT task forces regarding Salesforce with other systems• Attend relevant industry conferences. RequiredQualifications:• Bachelor’s degree required. • Skills in data analytics required. Advanced Microsoft Excel and Tableau skills are required. • Experience preferred in one or more of the following:• Project management• Database management• Website management• Must demonstrate sound judgment, creativity, problem – solving skills, and the ability to work as a cheerful and effective member of a team.Should be able to multi- task in a fast – paced, professional, work place and communicate with tact and diplomacy to external and internal constituents. • Must have total respect for the confidentiality of student records.
