About the RoleThe Continuous Improvement-Lean Manager will lead and work with functional teams utilizing Lean Methodologies to streamline processes improving productivity and business process efficiencies. Provide support to develop lean expertise and capability within the organization at all levels. Improve the decision-making model and problem-solving capabilities to increase autonomy and pace of change.Act as a change agent within the business to educate and influence Team members on process implementation and improvements. What you Will be Doing• Identify and facilitate continuous improvement opportunities, training and workshops driving cultural change by analyzing business data and implementing best practices• Leads and facilitates Kaizen events to drive sustainable improvements. • Initiate and support a 6S program within the manufacturing/office areas – training, implementing and auditing. • Assist Manufacturing Engineering in Work cell and production line balancing, line layout design, time and motion studies.• Responsible for managing multiple projects at the same time. • Able to drive strategic thinking and continuous improvement in both non-operational and operational areas, including connecting the cross-functional resources to remove waste along the extended value streams. • Great communicator, including solid written, oral and presentation-giving skills. • Provide ongoing Lean support to multiple teams. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Education and Skills• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or relevant field• 7+ years previous experience as a Lean Manufacturing leader or similar role preferred• Trained in Lean methodologies - 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management, Cell balancing, Standard Work, and Mistake-Proofing• Proven ability facilitating and sustaining Kaizen events and results• Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)• Great troubleshooting skills; analytical mindset• Six Sigma, Black Belt Certification RequiredOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
