POSITION OVERVIEWWe are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Consultant with a strong background in management consulting and a deep knowledge of the energy and electrical utility industry.You lead enterprise-level transformations from strategy through execution—working with senior stakeholders to assess operations, diagnose root causes, and design data-driven solutions. Your experience spans operating model design, process optimization, strategic performance measurement, and governance framework development. You apply established consulting methodologies including Lean Six Sigma, organizational change enablement, and operational excellence frameworks, to align teams, embed execution discipline, and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, scalability, and service quality.Success in this role demands sharp analytical thinking, effective stakeholder leadership, and the ability to drive meaningful impact in complex, regulated environments. You will be part of Quanta Technology’s Operational Excellence team within Program Management, dedicated to managing the full bolthires of organizational dynamics, from strategy to portfolio and program management to business process optimization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAssessment• Evaluate current-state utility operations across planning, engineering, project management, field execution and more. • Conduct stakeholder interviews, data analysis, and process mapping to identify inefficiencies and pain points• Assess maturity of performance metrics, governance practices, and resource alignmentDesign• Develop future-state operating models, optimized processes, and governance frameworks• Define strategic performance metrics and reporting structures aligned with business objectives• Facilitate workshops to align stakeholders and clarify roles, responsibilities, and decision rightsImplementation• Support implementation of process, organizational, and performance improvements across teams• Create practical deliverables to guide adoption (such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), Organization charts, dashboards, or change management plans)• Provide ongoing coordination, reporting, and knowledge transfer to ensure sustainability• Prepare high-quality presentations and reports to communicate findings, progress, and resultsTravelUp to 50% depending on project and client needs.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE• B.S. in Engineering, Business, or a related field• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience, with at least 10 years in the electrical utility industry and a minimum of 5 years in management consulting• Proven experience leading enterprise transformation initiatives• Strong understanding of utility organizational structure and business operations• Familiarity with operational excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)• PMP or Six Sigma Green Belt certificationSKILLS• Proactive, self-directed professional with a strong bias for action and results• Creative problem-solver with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive solutions independently• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and executive communication skills• Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment• Skilled in project management and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)• Strong organizational agility with the ability to shift priorities and manage multiple client needsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE• Advanced degree in Business, Engineering or a related field• 8 years of experience in management consulting, particularly in executing and managing sustainable operational business and process improvement projectsSKILLS• Six Sigma Black Belt certification• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for data analysis and process automationLOCATIONQuanta Technology has offices in Raleigh, NC, Markham, ON, Lombard, IL, and San Clemente, CA.We offer hybrid employment that supports a blend of in-office and/or remote work.
