About the positionResponsibilities• Direct the overall operational effectiveness of the division. • Participate in security governance. • Oversee incident response. • Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance the state's overall security posture. Requirements• Five years of management experience in Information Security Technologies and Technology Risk Management. • OR two years of management experience in Information Security Technologies and Technology Risk Management and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related field.Nice-to-haves• Extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in information security technologies and risk management, ideally with 10 years in a leadership role. • Proven experience in developing and implementing information security technologies, strategies, policies, and procedures. • Strong knowledge of state and federal information security regulations and standards. • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cyber security technical teams effectively. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations. • Expert experience with incident response planning and execution. • In-depth understanding of security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, cloud technologies. • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
