Job title: Program Manager, Supply Chain OptimizationCompany: Cardinal HealthJob description: What Program & Project Mgmt contributes to Cardinal HealthThis position leads large projects focused on improving operations and processes across Cardinal’s Medical Segment supply chain. With approximately $1 Billion in supply chain costs, this individual will use data-driven analysis, strategic thinking, initiative prioritization, and project execution to identify problems, develop solutions, and effectively communicate recommended courses of action.This individual must be a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to lead multiple projects and work with both corporate, facility domiciled, and supplier partners. Must work well with a team. Key duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, cost reduction project identification and analysis, productivity improvements, transportation mode modeling and route optimization, facility capacity planning, item velocity improvement, service level improvement, and KPI/metric development and deployment.Business case development (cost benefit analysis) and effectively communicating alternatives with recommended courses of action is required. Must possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with multiple levels and functions within the organization, as well as field and corporate locations. Periodic travel in support of project identification and implementation will be required. Responsibilities:• Work cross functionally to identify and drive operational and process improvement projects across Cardinal’s supply chain organization• Develop end-to-end supply chain solutions that leverage the broader Cardinal volume, systems, and partnerships, while driving consistently higher levels of service and maximizing productivity• Utilize quantitative and modeling skills to analyze large amounts of data and draw conclusions, develop a project plan, present plan for approval, and drive development of project management tasks, resource identification, and implementation planning.Exercise vertical and horizontal communication for progress on deliverables• Utilize mathematical and statistical methods/formulas, financial analysis (e.g., IRR, ROI, NPV, etc.), and sensitivity analyses to develop and present cost-benefits analysis and go-forward recommendations• Provide insightful, solution-oriented, oral and written recommendations to executive management and appropriate business partners around new practices, processes, metrics, or models• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and periodic reporting to help drive execution, process uniformity, and improvement throughout the supply chain• Collaborate with suppliers and customers on projects to improve the velocity and flow of product throughout the supply chain, while minimizing occurrences and sources of friction• Optimize company assets which is inclusive of physical building and utilities, manufacturing/ warehouse equipment and tooling, office devices and physical layout of facility• Identify new technologies and associated processes to drive efficiency, productivity and optimal network design.This should include interfacing with Manufacturing, Planning, Transportation and Commercial strategies to ensure optimal end-to-end supply chain solutionQualifications:• Bachelors Degree in technical/analytical discipline or related field preferred• Master’s degree in business and/or Supply Chain/Logistics discipline is a plus• 4 years’ experience in supply chain management or related field• LEAN/Six Sigma experience (Green belt or higher) is a plus• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a project-oriented environment, with the proven ability to state case for change and work to drive improvement• Thorough understandings of distribution operations, supply/demand planning, and/or transportation methods/modes• Hands on experience with Tableau, SQL and Excel and other data analytic tools.• Hybrid Schedule – 50% WFH, 25% Onsite, 25% Overnight TravelWhat is expected of you and others at this level• Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects• Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals• Recommends new practices, processes, metrics, or models• Works on or may lead complex projects of large scope• Projects may have significant and long-term impact• Provides solutions which may set precedent• Independently determines method for completion of new projects• Receives guidance on overall project objectives• Acts as a mentor to less experienced colleaguesAnticipated salary range: $97,700 - $140,000Bonus eligible: YesBenefits: Health insurance, 401k Contributions, Paid Time Off, Vacation, STD/LTDCardinal Health supports an inclusive workplace that values diversity of thought, experience and background.We celebrate the power of our differences to create better solutions for our customers by ensuring employees can be their authentic selves each day.
