Aston Carter AML Investigator/SAR Writer (REMOTE) in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description:This class of investigators will support a top retail bank with conducting AML case investigations and writing SARs. Investigators are responsible for:• Reviewing, analyzing, and identifying indicators of potential money laundering, terrorist financing activity, and other financial crimes• Utilizing information sources such as surveillance / monitoring alerts, open-source media reports and internal referrals. • Concise documentation of financial crimes review results and preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR-SF or SAR-DI) in accordance with US laws, the Bank Secrecy Act and the USA PATRIOT Act and/or state reporting to Adult Protective Services and local law enforcement.• Applying knowledge of financial crimes requirements to the diverse businesses of a large financial institution that includes US and international banking services and an institutional and retail broker/dealer. Qualifications:• 5+ years of recent AML case investigation experience at large US banks• Strong experience writing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)• Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or other applicable certifications• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university in finance, accounting, business related preferred• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with knowledge of and proficiency in the use of systems, technology and/or case management• Flexible with the ability to adapt to change and take initiative to complete job requirements while balancing competing workload requirements including priority of case assignment and pressures of deadlines• Proficient in bolthires Outlook, Excel, and WordAbout Aston Carter:Please Note: Scammers are posing as Aston Carter.We’ll never contact you via Gmail, Telegram, or WhatsApp and we’ll never solicit money from you.
