Job DescriptionOverview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Applications Software Developer, SME to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality applications that meet the needs of our clients and end-users.Responsibilities:• Design complex software systems, that ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. • Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code in accordance with best practices and coding standards. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement systems that meet all functional and security requirements and align with business objectives. • Develop and execute thorough unit testing and debugging of applications to ensure quality and reliability. • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends and incorporate them into the development process as appropriate.• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. • Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and project planning sessions to ensure effective collaboration and communication. Qualifications• 10 years of experience in software development, with a focus on application development. • Proficiency in programming languages, such as Java, C#, React, or JavaScript. • Integrated Development Environment (IDE) experience (for example, Eclipse).• DevSecOps, DevOps, CI/CD• Git/GitHub• Jenkins/Groovy OR GitHub Actions• Linux• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Openshift• Familiar with Shell scripting• Experience with security tools like AppScan, Qualys, SysDig etc. • Extensive experience with software development methodologies and practices, including Agile/Scrum. • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and principles. • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions on time and within budget.• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Education Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Clearance Requirements:• Must be a U.S. Citizen• Active Public Trust/MBI or have the ability to obtain one. Starting salary:• The annual pay range for this position is up to $130,000. • The pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
