Job Description:• Teaching intensive, adjunct nursing faculty position, responsible for educating MSN students in both the classroom and clinical settings. • Engages in service to the school and university, and the profession. • Participates in faculty development.• Engages in the School of Nursing's Strategic Evaluation Plan. • Actively participate in the School of Nursing community including attendance at faculty meetings as indicated. • Holds an active unencumbered multistate RN license. • Holds an active, unencumbered APRN license in one or more of the following states: PA, GA, MN, MO, OK, OR, WA. • Eligible for VT APRN license and willingness to obtain at the time of appointment. Pay rate is based on number of credits teaching and number of students enrolled.Requirements:• Master's Degree required; Doctorate preferred. • Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a nurse practitioner• Active, unencumbered multistate RN license. • Active, unencumbered APRN license in one or more of the following states: PA, GA, MN, MO, OK, OR, WA• Eligible for VT APRN license and willingness to obtain at the time of appointment. • Current National Board Certification in one or more of the following specialties: Psychiatric-Mental Health NP, Family NP, Acute Care Adult Gerontology NP• Current clinical practice as a nurse practitioner• Evidence of effective teaching• Service to profession or community through membership in professional or community service organizations• Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic communityAdditional Information:Norwich University is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to providing a positive education and work environment that recognizes and respects the dignity of all students, faculty and staff.Reasonable accommodations will be made for the known disability of an otherwise qualified applicant.
