3D Artist Needed for Model Optimization & Photorealistic Texture Baking (3ds Max) - Contract to Hire
We are looking for a skilled 3D artist with strong experience in model optimization, photorealistictexturing, and baking for online real-time use (GLB/GLTF). Our current 3D model (3ds Max) is a plotwith multiple buildings, fully textured using standard materials. The existing model is around 200K+polygons and needs to be optimized and enhanced visually for online viewing—preferably tested in3DVista or similar real-time platforms. You will receive:-The full 3ds Max source file- Reference images for the expected texture quality and visual styleScope of Work1.Model Optimization- Reduce polygon count to under 100K while maintaining visual fidelity- Ensure clean, optimized topology suitable for real-time online use2. High-Quality Texture Generation- Create improved and detailed textures for:• Ground• Road asphalt• Road markings/tracing• General surface materials- Bake all textures correctly for a final GLB export3. Photorealistic Building Appearance- Enhance the buildings with realistic materials and refined details- Improve lighting/shadows baked into textures if needed4.Add Scene Details for Realism- Add small elements that make the environment believable (e.g., sidewalks, curbs, slight surfacevariations, vegetation if needed)- Ensure a visually polished final scene5.
