Zero Trust Architecture & Engineering SMEJob descriptionElectrosoft Inc. is seeking a Zero Trust (ZT) Architecture & Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) for an immediate opening.This role will support the creation and evaluation of government solutions designed to withstand complex IT and cyber threats, providing technical input for the design and implementation of ZT principles enterprise wide. The ZT Architecture & Engineering SME will leverage expertise in implementing ZT principles across Department of Defense (DoD) pillars (user, devices, applications & workloads, network & environment, data, automation & orchestration, and visibility & analytics) to assist the client in meeting the requirements of Executive Order (EO) 14028 and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-207.Furthermore, the ideal candidate will define the reference and implementation architectures for strategic infrastructure technology solutions. Work Location:Required onsite work at the client location at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois with some ability to telework on occasion. Duties &Responsibilities:+ The ZT Architecture & Engineering SME will assist in the architecture and design of innovative solutions and services to secure federal networks, and provide leadership with recommendations on the right technologies, solutions, and processes required to meet the objectives of EO 14028 and other DoD requirements.Additionally, the SME will provide support and services to include:+ Map ZT capabilities, requirements, and existing client capabilities, and new or approved capabilities required for each ZT pillar as outlined EO 14028, NIST 800-207, and any future memoranda, EO's, and DoD standards. + Review and analyze system, application, or network changes, upgrades and provide input and cybersecurity impacts. + Conduct assessment of ZT architectural and configuration changes made by the customers team(s). + Conduct a ZT review and assessment of all existing cybersecurity and IT capabilities.+ Utilize criteria for ZT readiness and assessment results to provide metrics and reports. + Conduct a gap analysis of existing capabilities to determine the necessary steps for achieving compliance and the target Zero Trust maturity model level. + Provide updates to the customer's ZT roadmap and implementation plan. + Assist with reviewing and interpreting Executive Orders (EOs), Public Law (PL), DoD Policy, NIST SPs, and recommended best practices and provide recommendations and potential solutions to meet requirements.+ Provide guidance and insights necessary for meeting requirements established through policy and executive directives/orders. + Assist in the development of the enterprise ZT common Control Catalogue (CCC). + Provide leadership support in all aspects of the ZT initiative to include planning, scheduling, guidance, solutions, reporting, performance metrics, and recommendations. + Assist and support for all internal and external ZT data calls, requests, audits, compliance, and updates - ensuring accurate information and statuses are obtained and provided.+ Ensure system engineering and architectural design support services to include Studies and analysis of proposed operation modifications; End-to-end architecture tradeoff assessment; Development of strategic and tactical plans; Evaluation of new program requirements; and Investigation and development of new technologies for possible operation modifications. BasicQualifications:+ At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information technology, or related field. + Expertise in Zero Trust architecture, principles, and methodologies.+ Knowledge of EO 14028, Federal, DoD, and other Zero Trust Architecture, Maturity Model, and Technical Reference Architectures. + Experience with in-depth analysis of Zero Trust principles, capabilities, and architectures. + Must be able to conduct system analysis to detect issues with performance. + Well versed in developing and implementing IT solutions to resolve technical challenges. + Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.+ Minimum of Security + or similar IAT II certandAWS Certified Solution Architect, TOGAF or another Enterprise relevant certification. Must have prior to hiring. + Minimum of active Secret Clearance. DesiredQualifications:+ Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (or higher) in one of the following: computer engineering, computer science, IT, cyber security, or a related field.
