Virtual Paralegal / Legal Operations Assistant (Family Law – MSA & Litigation Support)

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-driven virtual paralegal to support ongoing divorce and MSA (Marital Settlement Agreement) enforcement. The ideal candidate has experience managing legal documents, financial evidence, discovery, attorney communication, and court-related deliverables. This role requires consistent tracking, version control, and excellent judgment regarding confidentiality. This is a remote, part-time contract position with potential for long-term, ongoing weekly work. Key ResponsibilitiesEvidence & DocumentationConvert texts, emails, screenshots, and financial documents into clean, court-ready PDF exhibitsMaintain standardized exhibit naming conventions (e.g., A–E indexing and monthly archiving)Organize and preserve all documents — never delete, only archive by renameLegal Support & Court PreparationDraft letters, notices, and attorney correspondence (final review by counsel)Prepare 1-page court summaries, timelines, and judge packetsTrack compliance issues and missed obligations per MSA termsAssist with preparation of discovery responses, interrogatories, and affidavitsFinancial Tracking (Training Provided)Review monthly bank statements and credit card transactionsTag transactions (HIS / HERS / ADVANCED / UNCONFIRMED)Update arrears ledger and calculate totals by monthCase ManagementMaintain master Court Deadline TrackerMonitor status of document requests, notarizations, income documents, etc.Prepare weekly briefs for attorneys with concise status updatesRequired Skills & ExperiencePrior experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or family law VAStrong knowledge of document management, legal formatting, and court filing standardsProfessional written communication and email drafting skillsIntermediate proficiency with:bolthires Drive & bolthires Docs/SheetsPDF editing and OCR toolsBasic spreadsheet formulas (filters, pivot tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP helpful)Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive legal dataExperience coordinating with attorneys, opposing counsel, and court staffPreferred (Not Required)Family law background, especially divorce or MSA casesFamiliarity with discovery proceduresExperience organizing evidence for hearings, mediation, or negotiationQuickBooks or financial documentation handlingComfortable learning naming protocols and version-control systemsWork Style & ExpectationsClear communication and responsivenessDetail-oriented, proactive, and problem-solving mindsetComfortable handling large volumes of digital files and multiple deadlinesMust be comfortable following established naming and archiving rulesAbility to produce weekly deliverables on a set scheduleWeekly DeliverablesUpdated Evidence Index (A–E)Financial Compliance Summary (arrears tracker updated monthly)Attorney Action Sheet (1–2 pages)Court Deadline & Task TrackerDiscovery Status Log (requests sent, documents received, missing items) Apply tot his job
