Position Overview: We are seeking experienced Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), Enrolled Agents (EAs), and Juris Doctors (JDs) to as Independent Contractors specializing in expatriate tax preparation. This role offers flexible hours and is entirely commission-based, providing the opportunity to earn based on your productivity and expertise. We supply the clients and a supportive tax infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and file accurate expatriate tax returns for U.S. citizens living abroad. Provide expert advice on international tax laws, compliance requirements, and tax-saving strategies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IRS regulations and expatriate tax issues. Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and information. Utilize our proprietary tax software to ensure efficient and accurate tax preparation. Address client inquiries and provide exceptional customer service throughout the tax preparation process.Ensure all tax filings meet deadlines and compliance standards. Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years experience in preparing U.S. expatriate tax returns. U.S. expat tax scenarios (foreign income, housing exclusions)Non-resident filings and treaty-based positionsFBAR, FATCA, Form 2555Bonus points for experience with forms 3520, 5471, 86215 years of general U.S. tax preparation experience, with a willingness to learn U.S. Expatriate taxation, including independent self-learning through CPE resources and research/review of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC)Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Enrolled Agent (EA), or Juris Doctor (JD) with active credentials.Native English Speaker, or Fluent in EnglishStrong understanding of IRS regulations and international tax laws. Proficient in tax preparation software and bolthires Office Suite. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting. High level of integrity and attention to detail. Compensation:Commission-based compensation structured per return, typically $60 - $150+ per return depending on its complexity.
