TRCAdvanced Energy is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual to support energy efficiency and demand management programs across the US.The Data System & Energy Analyst (Analyst) provides technical support for software development teams and analytical support to energy efficiency program staff. This includes software-related assistance necessary for implementing, tracking, and reporting of program activity, and support to other customer service areas. Responsibilities may include business process analysis, development of data system requirements, technical tool and software development, energy analysis, site inspections, energy auditing, technical reviews, technical research and writing, and project management for multiple residential, commercial, and industrial energy efficiency projects and/or customers.The Analyst will work collaboratively withAdvanced Energy program and IT teams and clients to ensure that customer support data system needs are identified, documented, routed and/or scheduled. They will ensure that changes and updates are designed, tested, and implemented in accordance with established system requirements. The range of activities for this position vary, from providing general assistance to program teams regarding routine data system assistance, including developing queries and reports, to working with other TRC organizations on the development of new components for programs.This support may include the TRC Captures platform (Microsoft Dynamics CRM) and other systems as required. There will be significant interface with clients that may require travel. The position requires the ability to manage projects, and lead, direct, and coordinate the work of team members (internal and external) of varied backgrounds. This position requires flexibility; diversity of technical expertise; strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; and excellent customer care skills.The candidate will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform a variety of complex tasks. Key Responsibilities• Working in the capacity of a business analyst to develop requirements documentation for new projects and coordinate with clients and IT development staff. • Communication with key program staff regarding program and data system requirements. • Creating customized workflows to meet program needs. • Conducting research related to energy efficiency and renewable energy technology and practices.• Developing analyses related to energy savings, including incremental cost estimates. • Assisting in the development and/or implementation of technical protocols, quality assurance procedures and technical requirements for energy efficiency programs. • Conducting project fieldwork, analysis, and report production using standard resources and templates and custom tool development. • Supporting development of technical tools and software for engineering and program administration staff. • Tracking deadlines and forecasts of assignments with moderate scopes of work.• Project coordination and management for energy efficiency and demand management programs. RequirementsMinimum Qualifications• Eligibility to work in the United States. • Bachelor’s degree required in a related field; advanced degree preferred. • Minimum 1 year of professional experience. • Experience in the energy field, such as energy efficiency, energy auditing. distributed energy generation/combined heat and power, project economics/rate analysis, project design, renewable energy, HVAC, central heating and cooling plants is preferred.• Excellent computer skills including but not limited to basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. • Proficiency with Visual Basic and/or SQL is a plus. • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and/or other CRM platforms. • Proven ability to establish and maintain a professional rapport with client, internal teammates, customers, and trade allies. • Strong sensitivity to software/database user experience. • Team-oriented, hands-on, adaptive, and client-focused.• Exceptional organizational, time-management, and planning skills.
