An opportunity for a Registered Nurse with Telemetry experience awaits in Hampstead, NC, offering a contract position ideal for those with a strong background in managing cardiac patients. This role emphasizes the care of patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions related to dysrhythmias and respiratory management. Ideal candidates possess a minimum of 2 years nursing experience, with preferred expertise in orthopedic or medical-surgical environments. Key Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; MS/Ortho background preferred • Skilled in management of dysrhythmias, O2 protocol, and non-invasive airway techniques • Competent in peripheral line care, isolation precautions including PPE use, and electronic charting (EPIC) • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred • Experience with rapid response activation and blood product administration is advantageous • Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage drips; Central line care experience is preferred Role Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive 1:6-7 ratio patient care during night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), with available 36 or 48-hour shifts • Float within unit or related inpatient areas as necessary, including the main campus nearby • Participate in emergency response teams during storms or disasters, remaining flexible to assignment changes • Adhere to all infection control protocols and maintain electronic documentation accuracy • Comply with pre-employment EKG testing and live at least 70 miles from the facility as per contract terms Location Insight: Hampstead, NC offers a charming coastal environment known for its friendly community and proximity to beaches and natural preserves.
