Sr. Analyst, Tax US & Canada

About the positionResponsibilities• Prepare and review U.S. sales and use tax, property tax, gross receipts, and business license filings. • Support property tax compliance and reporting across all U.S. locations, coordinating with external providers. • Assist in developing and maintaining tax exemption strategies, particularly for data center operations. • Collaborate with Procurement and Accounting to ensure tax-efficient purchasing and accurate ledger reporting. • Research and interpret state and local tax regulations to maintain compliance.• Support audits and responses to state and local tax authority inquiries. • Assist with tax accounting and reconciliations related to indirect tax accounts. • Participate in process improvement and automation projects to enhance compliance efficiency. • Provide ad hoc support for other global tax initiatives, including VAT, GST, and income tax. • Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation. Requirements• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. • 4+ years of progressive experience in indirect tax, property tax, or related accounting roles.• Property tax experience required, including compliance, assessments, and reporting. • Knowledge of Canadian indirect tax (GST/HST/PST) compliance and reporting. • Strong accounting and compliance background• Experience preparing and reviewing multi-jurisdictional tax filings. • Exposure to sales and use tax and business license compliance preferred. • Familiarity with tax technology tools and ERP systems. • Big 4 accounting and/or multinational corporate in-house experience required. Nice-to-haves• CPA, CMI, or equivalent certification preferred.• Exposure to sales and use tax and business license compliance preferred.
