The Specialist, Public Health Programs will be the project coordinator for the implementation of the Healthy Brain Initiative Road Map and the BOLD Risk Reduction Center of Excellence. The successful applicant will provide data management, project coordination, logistical, and operational support. This position will interact considerably with other members of the HBI and Risk Reduction teams, co-workers in the Association, public health professionals, and external partners. This position reports to theSenior Director, Public Health Programs and can be remote with travel up to 15% percent.This position is grant funded. Responsibilities• Coordinate the annual update of the Public Health State Pages on alz.org/public health states by collecting updates throughout the year and working with the HBI Associate Director to manage what updates will be posted. • Coordinate/manage Lived Experience Advisory Groups for the Public Health Center of Excellence on Dementia Caregiving, including the management of the nomination, application, review, and selection process and participate on the Executive Committee.• Undertakes tasks, as assigned, to further the goals and objectives of the Public Health Center of Excellence on Dementia Risk Reduction including managing the application and travel reimbursement processes for the Risk Reduction Learning Collaboratives and preparation of materials for the meetings. • Provides administrative support to the senior leadership of the team including managing calendar, printing, on-site and virtual support for meetings, and travel. • Performs other duties as assignedQualifications• Bachelor’s degree in public health, public policy, or related field; master’s degree preferred• 1-3 years professional experience working in public healthKnowledge, Skills and Abilities• Excellent written and oral communications and interpersonal skills are essential.• Prior experience with conducting basic quantitative and qualitative data analyses; prefer familiarity with evaluation. • Detail oriented and highly organized with effective time management. • Ability to work both within a team and independently, and to follow directions. • Strong computer skills (MS Office, video conferencing, database, bolthires Workspace); familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) platforms and publishing software is a plus. • Prior experience working with diverse communities.• Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed for the job• Ability and willingness to travel up to 5-15%Title: Specialist, Public Health ProgramsPosition Location: US Based RemoteFull time or Part time: Full timePosition Grade &Compensation: Grade 506The Alzheimer's Association’s good faith expectation for the salary range for this role is between $63,000 – $69,500Reports To:Senior Director, Public Health ProgramsWho We Are:The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research.Our mission is to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia– by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
