The ideal candidate is deeply immersed in U.S. politics and internet culture, with a knack for creating engaging content that resonates with politically-inclined audiences and fitting our brand.This role will focus on crafting and executing social media strategies, creating compelling video, image and text content, and driving meaningful engagement on platforms like X, Bluesky, Threads, and TikTok. Key Responsibilities:Strategy Development:Create and implement organic social media strategies to grow our audience, enhance engagement, and foster balanced political discourse. Content Creation & Management:Develop captivating high-quality content for organic postings, including text, images and videos, maintaining our politically neutral (but engaging and slightly memey) brand voice.Schedule and regularly publish posts across TikTok/YT Shorts, Instagram,X/Bluesky/Threads, and Facebook. Monitor and respond to audience interactions in a timely manner. Collaboration:Collaborate with our creators on content & platform features, utilizing their voices to enhance our brand. Work with our Growth Lead to execute influencer campaigns, coordinating user-focused influencer content and organic social posting to support acquisition strategies. Work together with our Co-Founder and Marketing Director to maintain cohesive brand voice & style.Outbound Engagement:Actively engage with users, creators, and communities on X, Bluesky, YouTube and TikTok to build relationships and drive platform interaction. Analytics and Reporting:Track, analyze and report on KPI’s to measure success & optimize content performance. Trend Awareness:Monitor industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices (e.g TikTok Carousels). Stay up-to-date on U.S. politics, internet culture, and trends to keep our content feeling like we are “in the conversation”.RequiredQualifications:In-depth knowledge of U.S. politics and internet culture, with a strong understanding of political social media dynamics and trends. Social media native with a natural, conversational approach to content creation andengagement. Proven experience building or managing social media accounts on TikTok/Instagram orX/Bluesky/Threads. Comfortable appearing on camera to create engaging short-video content. Intermediate graphic design (AI art is acceptable) and video editing skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment.Ideal (not required)Qualifications:Experience managing social media accounts for a brand or media organization. Passionate about reducing partisanship and fostering political discourse from all sides. Advanced graphic design, video editing, or animation skills. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Experience with paid social media advertising.
