Develop and maintain information security policies, procedures, and standards in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Serve as a subject matter expert on information security compliance standards, such as HIPAA, FERPA, and PCI-DSS. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks and vulnerabilities.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations. Monitor and report on compliance metrics and develop strategies for improving overall compliance posture. Stay current with emerging security threats and trends, and make recommendations for enhancing the institution's security posture. Serve as a liaison between the information security team and other departments to facilitate communication and promote a culture of security awareness.Provide guidance and training to employees on information security best practices and procedures. Participate in incident response and assist with investigations related to information security incidents. Maintain documentation and records related to compliance efforts and provide regular updates to management. Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies during compliance audits and assessments. Keep abreast of changes in relevant laws and regulations and ensure the institution's information security practices remain compliant.Lead or participate in special projects related to information security compliance, as assigned by management. Mentor and train junior members of the information security team, as needed. Continuously assess and improve the institution's overall security posture through continuous monitoring and evaluation.
