Senior EVS Operator

About the positionResponsibilities• Operate EVS and file server equipment for live and taped productions. • Train new staff and temporary EVS operators on various playback and editing techniques. • Collaborate with the Show Producer and Assistant Director to enhance storytelling through video. • Produce quick turn editing for replays and highlight packages under tight deadlines. • Anticipate and prepare necessary clips for later airings. • Archive video and audio clips to maintain effective storage levels.• Create documentation for EVS machine workflows and ensure all staff are trained on these processes. • Identify and resolve technical problems in the EVS workflow in collaboration with technical teams. • Attend meetings to represent the EVS team and provide input on production needs. • Create weekly documentation for playout station assignments. Requirements• 8 - 10 years of network level broadcast production experience as a Lead EVS Operator. • In-depth knowledge of File Server operations (IP Director, XFile).• Strong understanding of video and audio router operations. • Ability to create and understand documentation for EVS workflows. • Excellent leadership and communication skills. • Ability to handle pressures of live programming and time constraints. • Good computer skills and a creative eye. Nice-to-haves• Knowledge of iNews• Familiarity with major sports (NBA, MLB, NHL, US Soccer)• Awareness of new technologies in the industry.
