Senior Counsel, Sanctions and Trade Compliance
Twilio is seeking aSenior Counsel, Sanctions and Trade Compliance to manage compliance with U.S. export control and sanctions laws and regulations. The successful candidate will possess high integrity and demonstrate a consistent track record of pragmatic cross-functional collaboration and sound legal advice across the organization.RequirementsA law degree from a U.S. accredited law school and be an active member in good standing with a state bar association that will be their principal work location is required.A minimum of 7 years legal experience working as an attorney on trade matters in a government agency, law firm, or in-house legal department in an international environmentExpertise in export controls and sanctions, including the OFAC and EAR regulations.A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.Effectively identify and articulate implications up and downstream, taking action or escalating as appropriate.Demonstrate an ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize workflow with minimal supervision.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Your team-first attitude enables you to easily and effectively work across teams and cross-functionally.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT), GSuite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), and Project Management software (Jira, Asana, AirTable (or similar), RAID logs, budgeting systems)BenefitsCompetitive payGenerous time offAmple parental and wellness leaveHealthcareRetirement savings programOriginally posted on Himalayas Apply tot his job
