Remote Social Worker - MI

Seeking a qualified Social Worker with experience in school settings to provide telehealth and onsite support in a middle school environment. This contract role is based in Flint, MI, serving a single school within the Mt. Morris Consolidated Schools district. The position is part-time, approximately three days per week, supporting up to 20 middle school students on caseload through the remainder of the school year. Key Responsibilities:• Deliver direct and indirect social work services to middle school students via telehealth and in-person sessions• Collaborate with educational and clinical staff to support students social, emotional, and behavioral needs• Maintain compliance with Individualized Education Program (IEP) requirements using district systems and processes• Manage caseload according to district guidelines, providing timely documentation and reporting• Participate in team meetings and contribute to student progress reviewsQualifications &Experience:• Valid Michigan School Social Worker certification (310 certification)• Active LARA license to practice social work• Experience working with middle school-aged children in educational or clinical settings• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling techniques• Knowledge of school-based mental health interventions and IEP processesLocation:Flint, MI - Middle School FacilityAdditional Details:• Contract duration: remainder of the current school year• Part-time schedule, approximately 3 days per week• Caseload capped at 20 students• Paid travel provided for itinerant dutiesThis role offers an opportunity to contribute positively to the emotional and social well-being of students in a supportive school environment.Candidates meeting the criteria are encouraged to apply promptly to be considered for this contract engagement.
