Required Qualifications :• Prior Risk Management experience is imperative. • Ability to filter through legal documents. • Know what a serious reportable event (SRE) is and do an RCS.• Understand hospital operations, risk mitigation, malpractice. Masters in Nursing not necessary, nice to have. • The goal is to review and adjudicate safety event reports and support this team. • Review / analyze, triage, and follow up on and close safety event reports. • Reviewing Safety reports, perform RCA's (route cause analysis) on serious safety events. • This department of 3 Specialists receives lawsuits and claims. • They read / analyze them and understand if they need to connect with malpractice insurer.• They focus on identifying, mitigating, prevent risks to protect safety of staff and patient safety.
