[Remote] Regulatory Affairs Consultant
Note:The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. First Point Group is looking for a Regulatory Affairs Consultant to join their client's team remotely. The successful candidate will leverage expertise in FCC regulatory affairs to guide clients through compliance challenges and help shape their success in the telecommunications industry. Responsibilities• Serve as the primary client contact on multiple accounts, building strong, lasting relationships while delivering exceptional service and measurable results.• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of client regulatory projects, from initial strategy through successful delivery. • Provide expert regulatory guidance on FCC and state Public Utility Commission (PUC/PSC) compliance, with emphasis on telecom (CLECs, VoIP providers, MVNOs). • Manage and support regulatory filings including FCC Forms 477, 499, 481, Section 214 authorizations, USF contributions/audits, CPNI compliance, outage reporting, ETC designations, state registrations, tariff filings, annual reports, and certifications.• Conduct in-depth research and analysis to develop tailored regulatory strategies that anticipate challenges, mitigate risk, and enable client innovation. • Coordinate with internal project teams to ensure all deliverables meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements while maintaining regulatory accuracy and compliance. • Drive business development initiatives by identifying growth opportunities, assisting with proposals, and representing the firm at industry events (trade shows, webinars, workshops).• Stay current on industry trends, emerging regulations, and FCC/PUC developments to provide forward-thinking insights and thought leadership. • Demonstrate strong organizational skills to balance multiple priorities in a high-volume environment, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to a positive team culture. • Uphold a growth mindset and entrepreneurial approach, helping expand service offerings and positioning both clients and the firm for sustainable growth.
