[Remote] Cloud Engineer

In this role, you will design, build, secure, and optimize cloud environments while collaborating with development teams to enable automation and reliable cloud operations. Responsibilities• Design and implement cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS following best practices for availability, scalability, and security• Manage cloud resources including VMs, storage, networking, load balancers, API gateways, identity services, logging, and monitoring• Apply cost-optimization strategies and monitor ongoing usage across environments• Work with containers, orchestration, and DevOps tooling (Docker, Kubernetes)• Write, maintain, and version infrastructure using Terraform (modules, workspaces, state management)• Automate provisioning, scaling, and deployment of cloud resources• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)• Implement automated testing, code quality checks, dependency scanning, and deployment gates• Improve release cycles and support development teams to achieve faster delivery• Apply cloud security frameworks, access controls, and network segmentation• Implement policies using tools such as Azure Policy, AWS IAM, and Terraform guardrails• Monitor cloud logs and enforce compliance with internal and external standards• Set up dashboards and alerts using CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Grafana, or Prometheus• Improve system reliability through redundancy, autoscaling, and fault-tolerant architectureSkills• 2–3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps roles• Strong hands-on experience with Azure and AWS cloud services• Deep knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation• Solid background in CI/CD, automation, and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)• Understanding of networking concepts: VPC, VNets, Subnets, Firewalls, VPN, DNS• Working knowledge of cloud security, IAM, and compliance• Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance tuningCompany Overview• This page is owned and operated by JAF HOLDINGS INC.All rights reserved 2025. jafholdingsinc.com It was founded in undefined, and is headquartered in Silicon Valley, California US, US, with a workforce of 51-200 employees.
