Job DescriptionThis is a key project leadership role responsible for US and Canada regional product demand forecasts and communication through a global process to supply chain team.Works closely with Sales, Finance, Operations and Supply Chain teams to ensure timeliness and accuracy of region forecast. Responsible for developing expertise and utilizing the Oracle-based tool Demantra in the region. Key responsibilities/essential functions include:Accountable for regional demand data integrity in the Demantra Sales & Operational Planning toolWorking with representatives from different business areas in region to establish and manage a regular (monthly) cycle to update 18 month unit demand informationRunning a regular (monthly) review including representatives from region, Supply Chain and Product Management to review and explain demand dataWorking with Finance and Sales management to explain any differences between regional quarterly sales estimates and demand data, including identifying and taking action on variancesBecome regional "super user" for Demantra tool, supporting other users in region with first line questions and issuesInterfacing with supply chain organization to explain or follow up on any demand information requiredProducing graphic and other analysis to illustrate and explain demand trends and variancesMaintaining information on forecast accuracy and working with regional organization on action plans to improveBuild and sustain a community with colleagues in other regionsShare best practices and discuss opportunities to collaborate and improve processesWork with process owners to identify simplification and growth opportunitiesQuality Specific Goals:Be aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they type/positionComplete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlinesIdentify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as requiredQualificationsRequiredQualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalentProfessional certificationExperience in long range forecasting and planning (S&OP) processes and systems5+ years' experience working in projects in areas of commercial, operations, supply chain subjects within complex organizationsQuantitative analytical skills with the ability to identify, interpret and resolve unstructured problemsDemonstrated forecasting and planning skillsComprehensive project management skills and experiencesProven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams in remote environmentStrong sense of urgency with a demonstrated record of meeting commitmentsStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHigh computer skills: Excel, MS-Office, ERPHigh level of flexibility and passion/engagementMust be willing to travel (approx.10%)Must be legally authorized to work in the United StatesMust be willing to work in our Marlborough, MA facilityMust be willing to submit to a drug test and background checkMust submit application for employment through gecareers.com to be consideredPreferredQualifications:Knowledge of Life SciencesOracle experienceDemantra or other Sales and Operational Planning Tool experienceSix sigma or Lean knowledgeProject management training/certificationAPICS certificationExperience working in mutli-cultural environment"Change Agent" experienceAdditional InformationQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, gender Identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, pregnancy, or other status protected by law.We wish to thank all applicants for their interest and effort in applying for this position, however, only candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.
