As we expand our remote operations, we’re seeking a detail-oriented, certified or licensed appraiser to join us in a fully desk-based capacity. Role OverviewThis is a 100% remote position focused exclusively on desktop appraisal assignments.You’ll leverage MLS data, public records, and third-party tools to complete USPAP-compliant valuations without field inspections. Ideal for appraisers who thrive in a structured, tech-enabled environment and prefer analytical work over fieldwork. Key Responsibilities• Conduct desktop appraisals for residential properties, including STRs, refinance, purchase, and portfolio reviews, etc. • Analyze market data, comparable sales, and property characteristics using MLS, county records, and proprietary platforms.• Prepare credible, well-supported appraisal reports in compliance with USPAP and client-specific guidelines. • Communicate with internal review teams and clients as needed to clarify data or resolve valuation questions. • Stay current on regional market trends, regulatory updates, and best practices for remote valuation work. Qualifications• Active Certified Residential or Licensed Appraiser credential in one or more U.S. states (NC/SC preferred) - Will consider experienced trainees 1000 hours +• Minimum 2 years of experience in residential appraisal, with desktop or hybrid experience strongly preferred• Proficiency with appraisal software (e.g., TOTAL, Spark, Appraiser Genie) and digital research tools• Strong analytical writing skills and attention to detail• Reliable internet connection and secure home office setupWhat We Offer• Full time remote position with consistent work-flow (8am-6pm)• Competitive salary plus incentive pay• Supportive team culture with streamlined processes and tech tools• Opportunities to specialize in bank, DSCR loans, and private work• No fieldwork, no travel — just focused, desk-based appraisal• Salary increases after a yearJob Type: Full-timePay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per yearLocation:• North Carolina (Preferred)Work Location:Remote Apply tot his job
