Job Details Thales Encryption Engineer 100%Remote Full Time Must Have Technical/Functional Skills 4 years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 4 years of information technology applications and systems experience 4 years of Unix/Linux Systems Administration experience with in-depth knowledge of troubleshooting, OS hardening and OS tuning experience 2 years of databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata experience 2 years of encryption technologies experience Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 4 years of experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Shell.Knowledge and understanding of cryptography and key management Experience with engineering support in one or combination of the following: Gemalto, SafeNet, Oracle MSSQL TDE, Thales Vormetric, Oracle Key Vault and other devicesAdvanced scripting skills specifically around automation, log rotation, data collection, error collection and alerting Knowledge and understanding of technology support: encryption infrastructure servers or appliances Knowledge and understanding of implementing infrastructure upgrades, security patches, or version upgrades Ability to design or develop automated solutions to business problems Digital certificate management experience Knowledge and understanding of technology server: file encryption technology, encryption key management and information security policies Knowledge and understanding of Splunk Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time framesAdvanced problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities Roles & Responsibilities Be responsible for infrastructure design, engineering, automation, and day to day management of Crypto infrastructure.This infrastructure consists of Windows and Linux servers, COTS appliances, and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) leveraged to provide Cryptographic capabilities to customer.
