Quantitative Research Intern

The Detroit Lions are seeking a motivated and independent intern to complete a football-based quantitative research project. This is a remote, part-time, paid internship structured as an educational and professional development opportunity. The internship will require approximately 15 hours of work per week for 10 weeks, and will include regular check-ins with the project lead and project milestones. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:- Passion for the game of football- Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for answering questions with data- Strong quantitative intuition and skills- Ability to build statistical models in R or Python- Coursework in statistics and/or machine learning- Strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality.- Self-directed, proactive, and able to work independently- Interns must perform all work from within the United States. The work location will be treated as the intern’s physical location. - Employment is at-will and may be terminated by either the intern or the organization at any time, with or without cause or notice.
