Public Training Manager

Remote, USA Full-time
Description • Lead the expansion of Trevor’s public training portfolio, ensuring every session equips thousands of adults with the skills and confidence to prevent LGBTQ youth suicide. • Design, pilot, and continuously improve evidence-based curricula for both virtual and in-person delivery, tailoring content for K-12 educators, pediatricians, social workers, coaches, camp counselors, corporate ERGs, and community organizations. • Facilitate up to 100 high-impact trainings per year—ranging from 10-person workshops to 1,000-attendee keynotes—using trauma-informed, culturally responsive facilitation techniques that honor the lived experiences of trans, non-binary, and BIPOC youth. • Own the end-to-end training lifecycle: conduct needs assessments, craft measurable learning objectives, build slide decks and facilitator guides, schedule sessions, manage travel logistics, deliver content, and analyze post-session data to refine future offerings. • Serve as a visible ambassador for Trevor, representing the organization at national conferences, in media interviews, and through thought-leadership pieces that position us as the definitive voice on LGBTQ youth suicide prevention. • Build and steward a robust pipeline of training opportunities by responding to inbound requests, cultivating relationships with school districts, state agencies, hospitals, and Fortune 500 DEI teams, and proactively pitching new engagements that expand reach and earned revenue. • Track, analyze, and report on key metrics—attendance, satisfaction, knowledge gain, and behavioral intent—using Salesforce, Google Data Studio, and survey platforms; translate insights into quarterly recommendations that shape strategic priorities. • Collaborate cross-functionally with Communications, Research, Advocacy, and Digital teams to align public training messaging with campaign launches, policy initiatives, and peer-support rollouts; occasionally co-facilitate internal DEI learning sessions that strengthen Trevor’s culture of belonging. • Ensure all materials meet accessibility and language-justice standards, including captioning, screen-reader compatibility, and Spanish-language versions where feasible. • Mentor junior trainers and volunteers, modeling Trevor’s core values—Heart, Integrity, Community, Belonging, and Progress—through generous feedback, inclusive practices, and a commitment to continuous learning. • Pilot innovative formats such as micro-learning videos, VR simulations, and train-the-trainer cohorts, integrating participant feedback and lived-experience insights into every iteration. • Manage the Education@ inbox, maintain the master training calendar, and coordinate domestic and occasional international travel (up to 25 % of the year) while ensuring seamless execution and participant safety. Requirements • 2+ years of demonstrated experience designing and facilitating adult-learning or professional-development programs, ideally on topics of mental health, DEI, or youth development. • Proven skill in curriculum and instructional design, including writing measurable learning objectives, creating engaging slide decks, and developing facilitator guides that others can deliver with fidelity. • Exceptional public-speaking and facilitation skills—comfortable commanding both virtual webinar platforms and in-person stages, managing large audiences, and navigating sensitive conversations with empathy and accuracy. • Demonstrated ability to manage complex logistics and multiple priorities simultaneously, from coordinating cross-country travel to tracking detailed metrics without losing sight of strategic goals. • Experience working within or alongside LGBTQ communities and a nuanced understanding of the unique risk and protective factors affecting queer and trans young people. • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Zoom, and learning-management or survey tools; familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM a plus. ️ Benefits • 100 % employer-paid medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance for you, plus robust coverage for gender-affirming care and mental-health services. • 403(b) retirement plan with 3 % employer match, financial-wellness resources, and three half-day summer Fridays to recharge and invest in your future. • Remote-first culture with a monthly internet stipend, home-office setup reimbursement, and flexibility to work anywhere in the continental U.S., Alaska, or Hawaii. • Generous PTO: 13 paid holidays (including Harvey Milk Day), two floating holidays, and professional development funds plus a LinkedIn Learning subscription to keep your skills sharp.
