Program Outreach Specialist, Teen Traffic Safety
About the positionResponsibilities• Assist with the coordination of outreach efforts that promote active participation in the Florida Teen Safe Driving Coalition (FTSDC), including ongoing communication with FTSDC members and support for engagement initiatives. • Distribute teen traffic safety educational materials at events and assist with fulfilling requests received through the FTSDC website. Support ongoing collaboration with partner agencies that distribute educational materials during events, through FDOT subgrants, and via outreach methods such as the mailer campaign partnership with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV).• Coordinate and manage the 'Weeks of Awareness' traffic safety campaigns at high schools across Florida by contacting schools, identifying key decision-makers, explaining Coalition programs, and scheduling presentations with partner speakers based on availability. • Make proactive phone calls and send targeted emails to build relationships and coordinate efforts with school staff, partners, and stakeholders. • Create engaging social media and website content aligned with Coalition goals and traffic safety initiatives.• Travel occasionally to attend Coalition meetings, school events, or traffic safety conferences. • Provide general administrative support, such as preparing documents, maintaining records, and assisting with scheduling and logistics. • Assist with the administration of subgrant-related program reporting, purchasing, receiving, and the overall procurement process. • Track outreach and engagement metrics to evaluate effectiveness of outreach efforts and assist with preparing reports for internal and subgrant-related purposes.Requirements• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and two years of related experience. • One of the two required years of experience in an educational or non-profit organization with a teen component is preferred.
