Producer, Video Editing Specialist
Job Description:• This role will be split between planning, organizing, and overseeing (producing) video shoots and video editing. • Producing Pitch new, creative video ideas aligned with marketing and curriculum goals. • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to developing video content strategies. • Write scripts, create outlines, and draft storyboards for video projects. • Plan video shoots, including casting talent, hiring crew, coordinating travel, creating call sheets, renting equipment, booking locations, managing budgets, scheduling, sourcing props, etc.• Oversee video shoots, which are generally smaller productions, including overseeing crew and talent needs, interviewing or directing talent, keeping everyone on schedule, checking off shot lists, troubleshooting, etc. • Oversee post-production for multiple projects simultaneously, keeping all editors and involved parties on schedule. • Review and provide timely, detailed feedback on video projects. • Ensure all video projects are delivered on time and meet project deadlines. • Edit raw video footage to create polished, professional, and visually appealing videos.• Incorporate graphics, basic animation, music, sound design, and other elements to enhance the visual storytelling. • Ensure videos align with brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity. • Request feedback and make revisions as needed to produce the best possible work. Requirements:• 3+ years of producing experience, either in-house or in an agency setting• 3+ years of video editing experience• Proficiency in video editing, both short-form and long-form video content, in Premiere Pro (preferred) or equivalent video editing software• Experience using Notion, Asana, StudioBinder, or other project management software• Experience using Frame.io• Ability to travel to video shoots when needed• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to video editing and production.• Familiarity with production costs, including standard crew rates, talent fees, equipment, locations, etc. • Knowledge of necessary legal forms for production, including talent release forms, crew contracts, invoices, etc. • Experience creating and sticking to video production budgets• Strong people skills, as you will work closely with talent, crew, and clients• A strong eye for design and ability to craft basic video graphics, thumbnails, and more• Baseline knowledge of sound design and color grading• Ability to receive and implement feedback effectively• Strong organization and attention to detail• Excellent ability to communicate, listen, and ask questions in a remote work setting• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Exercises inclusion, care, and empathy with others, balances honesty with compassion, and cultivates the well-being of self and others• Ability to work in a remote team environmentBenefits:• New laptop computer and other needed equipment• Annual Individual Budget forProfessional Development of $1,000• 401k Savings Plan with employer contribution• Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance• Life, AD&D, and Disability Insurance• Employee Assistance Program, Mental Health Support, and Well-Being Programs• 3 weeks Company-Paid Parental Leave (after 6 months of active employment)• Flexible Time Off, 6 Paid Sick Days, 11 Paid Company Holidays Apply tot his job
