WhatYour Impact IsAs a Principal Technical Consultant, you will:• Drive expert ecological risk assessments for complex oil and gas exploration sites.• Lead biological field investigations and design innovative solutions for environmental challenges. • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, regulators, and stakeholders, ensuring compliance and excellence. • Mentor and develop the next generation of environmental professionals. What You’ll BringRequired:• Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in toxicology, environmental toxicology, chemistry, ecology, or related life science discipline. Or equivalent experience. • 6–8 years of relevant experience (10+ years preferred), ideally in consulting.• Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in managing/analyzing large datasets using MS Excel. • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment. • Driver's License Required:This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.• Commitment to safety and adherence to Health & Safety protocols. Preferred:• Experience testifying as an expert witness. • Background in oil and gas ecological risk assessments. Key Responsibilities• Write, manage, and deliver ecological risk assessments for oil and gas projects. • Design and implement biological field investigations in Gulf Coast wetland habitats. • Research toxicities and physical/chemical properties of oil and gas constituents; develop site-specific risk assessment methods. • Produce expert reports, technical papers, and field investigation plans for clients.• Collaborate with senior-level staff to achieve client goals and maintain quality, budget, and schedule expectations. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. • Communicate daily with clients, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors. • Train and mentor junior environmental staff.
