OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Part-TimeRemote Chemistry Tutor to support students in grades 6 through 12. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in chemistry and related sciences, who are passionate about education and capable of engaging students through virtual platforms. As a 1099 contractor, you will provide personalized tutoring sessions, assist with curriculum development, and foster a positive learning environment tailored to diverse student needs. This position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic success.Responsibilities• Deliver engaging and effective remote tutoring sessions in chemistry, including topics such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, physiology, anatomy, microbiology, and related fields. • Develop and adapt lesson plans tailored to individual student learning styles and academic goals. • Utilize learning technology tools to enhance virtual instruction and facilitate interactive lessons. • Assist students with understanding complex concepts in math, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, differential equations, statistics, data structures, and discrete math.• Support students in developing problem-solving skills and mastering coursework through clear explanations and guided practice. • Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to help improve their understanding and performance. • Collaborate with students on curriculum development when needed to align lessons with their specific curriculum requirements or educational programs. • Maintain professionalism in virtual communication while managing multiple tutoring sessions efficiently. Skills• Strong expertise in chemistry (organic chemistry, biochemistry), biology (microbiology, genetics, anatomy), physics (mechanical engineering), and mathematics (algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics).• Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning for middle school to high school levels. • Proficiency with learning technology platforms and online teaching tools for remote instruction. • Excellent communication skills tailored to diverse age groups and learning needs. • Ability to manage classroom-like environments virtually while maintaining student engagement. • Experience working with children and adolescents as well as familiarity with adult education principles is preferred. • Knowledge of classroom management techniques suitable for online settings.• Strong computer skills including familiarity with various educational software applications. • Background in teaching or tutoring students with special educational needs or early childhood education is a plus.
