About the positionResponsibilities• Lead the documentation of all risks and controls for cross-functional projects and initiatives in partnership with control and process owners. • Document process-level risks and controls, including current-state processes and future-state process changes necessary for efficiency and compliance. • Identify and describe inherent risks in the bank's operational processes, consulting internal and external resources for current and emerging risks. • Complete risk and control self-assessments (RCSA) as needed.• Support lines of business to identify issue root causes and recommend corrective actions. • Perform validation testing of completed action plans and document results. • Investigate customer complaints flagged as potential compliance risks and make recommendations. • Prepare and deliver periodic reports and analytics related to risk management activities. • Assist in defining and implementing risk management metrics and measures. • Contribute to the planning and execution of the risk management strategy.• Stay informed of new legal, regulatory, operational, and market practices. Requirements• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent. • 6 or more years of experience in financial services risk management, compliance, regulatory, or audit work. • Intimate working knowledge of US banking regulatory guidance and expectations. • Working knowledge of banking processes, products, and sources of risk. • Strong verbal and written communication skills.Nice-to-haves• Certifications such as CRCM, CERP, CAMS, or similar. • Analytical and modern business computing skills (e.g., Office suite,Advanced Excel, PowerBI, Python). • Design Engineering or process management focus.
