Medical CoderSummary of PositionSeeking a self motivated and detail oriented individual with excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Coding experience with ICD-9-CM, ICD-10 and CPT. JobDuties:• Provide effective communication (written, verbal, non-verbal, and electronic) to clients and colleagues• Supports performance improvement by assisting with audits and quality control tasks• Communicates any concerns regarding coding, documentation, section issues and/or department issues• Shares information, resources, and ideas.Contributes ideas and suggestions to continuously improve processes, procedures, methods and productivity. • Must demonstrate the ability to assign principal and secondary diagnoses, procedures and E&M codes• Coders must maintain productivity & quality standards. Qualifications:• Extremely organized• Attention to detail is a must• At least 2 years of medical record practices and procedures, or successfully completed Medical Terminology• Medical Record Technology, Anatomy, Medical Billing or Coding courses are preferred• Inpatient & Outpatient Surgery coding experience preferred• Must type at least 40 WPM• Must be familiar with bolthires Word and Excel• CPC or CPC-A Credential• 3+ years of Coding experience preferred• Experience with One Content, Paragon and 3M desired Apply tot his job
