JOA# 25-11DATE: 10/27/2025TITLE: Manager, International AffairsGRADE: ExemptDIVISION: International AffairsREPORTS TO: Managing Director, International AffairsPOSITION SUMMARY:Advocate for member airlines on international and regulatory issues by preparing and filing Airlines for America (A4A) position papers, letters and comments concerning doing business and policy issues before U.S. and foreign regulators and international bodies. Develop and manage a modernized international government affairs tracking system between A4A and our member airlines.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Source and develop a modernized international government affairs tracking system. • Manage A4A and member inputs into the tracking system. • Perform analysis and background research on key international issues. • Represent A4A member airlines at meetings which relate to international affairs including Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) international stakeholder meetings. • Draft and develop industry position letters, while consensus building among members to successfully persuade/influence U.S.and foreign government decisions or policies. • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant U.S. officials in Washington and abroad (U.S. embassies and missions); foreign government officials; and industry representatives worldwide as appropriate to deal with A4A member issues. • Establish and maintain relationships with representatives of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and regional aviation associations.
