As a Manager on our team, you will help support the build of financial healthcare models, analyze claims data and develop reports for stakeholders. You will have the ability to observe large-scale data trends as well as dig deep into the details. You will translate data into meaningful insight; and this insight will support strategic business decisions aimed at improving both the affordability and accessibility of healthcare for our members. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Primary Responsibilities: • Manage a team that models scenarios to forecast impact of business strategies. Determine and complete additional analysis needed beyond standard reporting to inform business strategies. • Provide consulting services to external clients to understand and improve pharmacy benefit insights • Use detailed claims data to identify and solve a range of scenarios within the pharmacy and medical benefit • Write queries from relational databases and summarize information in a meaningful way • Act as a Subject Matter Expert to share insights on data trends across the organization You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience • 5+ years of analytical experience • 2+ years managerial experience • Experience in data analysis tools (ex. SQL, R, SAS) to extract insights from complex healthcare data sets • Proven advanced Excel skills • Experience manipulating healthcare claims data • Ability to synthesize complicated analytics and communicate with stakeholders at various levels within the organization Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with pharmacy analytics and proficient knowledge of the pharmacy managed care space • Experience identifying discrepancies in data and recommending solutions • All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
