M&A Due Diligence - P&C Consultant

About the positionResponsibilities• Lead due diligence projects of varying complexity. • Communicate internally with brokers, coverage/exposure experts, producers, client service team and M&A team members and collaborate to develop findings and solutions. • Communicate externally on a daily basis as a trusted advisor with private equity firms, target companies or their representatives. • Execute and deliver to clients accurate and professional due diligence reports. • Analyze and provide technical input on insurance coverage, claims history, insurance-related collateral, insurance-related financial expense, surety bonds and insurance sections of the draft purchase agreement.• Identify transaction issues and work with clients' other third-party advisors to develop resolution. • Collaborate with producers to build and maintain relationships with ongoing clients and convert due diligence targets to ongoing clients. • Communicate and capture the value that Aon brings even to the most challenging situations. • Prepare spreadsheets and analyze data. • Prepare proposals and make presentations to clients and prospects. Requirements• Property and Casualty insurance technical proficiency.• Broad knowledge of insurance including property, casualty, cyber, E&O, financial lines, environmental, and other. • Basic understanding of financial statements, accounting, Private Equity, and Financial Markets. • Project management skills to coordinate activities and information flow from a group of people within specified time frame. • Strategic and analytical skills with attention to detail but able to draw conclusions. • Strong communication skills (written and oral) to communicate well and at the appropriate level with a wide range of people.• Ability to perform under stress/tight time frames. • Ability to develop relationships/build confidence of others (both internally and externally) based upon work performed. • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time. • Results oriented. • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint. • Broker's license, or willing to obtain within 6 months of employment. • 2 - 5 years of insurance experience strongly preferred. Nice-to-haves• CPCU certification is a plus.
